We must always take sides.  Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim.  Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. - Elie Wiesel

All too often organized religion has been about persecution.  Some religions and religious leaders seem to be more about politics than faith in G-d.  Some organized religions preach about sin and damnation, as if punishment and being mean-spirited was the purpose of life.  One major religion seems to be scapegoating gays and lesbians as a way of diverting attention from their worldwide series of pedophilia and child abuse scandals.  Religion is portrayed in the media as hateful, bigoted and corrupt.  Sadly, all too often this is an accurate portrayal.

Yet, none of this has to be and I do not believe this to be the will of G-d.  All too often, religion serves not to being us closer to G-d, but to drive us away from G-d.  All too often, instead of being about love and hope, organized religion tries to take that love and hope away.  There is nothing meaner, nothing crueler, nothing more hurtful than to take away someone's hope and to teach someone that G-d does not love them.

My vision is to make this website into a resource for those who seek love and not hate.  As gays and lesbians are particularly targeted by "religious" leaders, I have a special web page devoted to the issue of sexual orientation and religion.  In addition, there are numerous articles that I hope will encourage all of us to behave better toward G-d and toward each other.  Lastly, in an effort to make this as comprehensive a resource as possible, there is a links page.

No matter who you are, there is a loving G-d who created you and who loves you.  The purpose of this website is to bring you closer to your Maker, and to help you to know that the G-d who created you loves you.

I hope that you find what you are looking for here.  I hope that this website enables you to form a closer relationship with your creator.

Most importantly, I hope that G-d will bless us all with peace.

This ministry is open to all and does not endorse any faith tradition.
